# How to Upload and Manage Files in Axumind | Clientlex

Learn how to upload and manage files in Axumind, organize client assets, preview supported files, and share project resources through your client workspace.

Keep your agency files and client assets organized with the Axumind Files workspace. You can upload files, arrange them into folders, and access the resources your team needs while working with clients.

Axumind separates agency-owned files from client-associated files, helping keep files within the appropriate workspace and client organization.

## Accessing Your Files

Open **Files** from your agency dashboard to access the file workspace.

The workspace provides access to agency and client files according to their ownership and access permissions.

When working with client assets, make sure you are using the appropriate client context before uploading or managing files.

## Uploading Files

To upload a file:

- Open the **Files** workspace.

- Navigate to the folder where you want to store the file.

- Select the upload option.

- Choose the file or files from your device.

- Complete the upload.

You can use the workspace to store documents, images, design assets, and other files required for agency and client work, subject to the supported file types and upload limits.

## Organizing Files and Folders

Use folders to keep related files together and make them easier to locate.

You can organize resources by client, project, service, or another structure that works for your agency.

Keep folder organization consistent so your team can find the correct assets without searching through unrelated files.

## Previewing and Downloading Files

The Files workspace includes file preview and download functionality.

For supported file types, use the preview option to inspect a file without downloading it to your device.

When you need a local copy, use the download option to save the file.

Preview availability may vary depending on the file format.

## Managing Shared Files

Axumind supports agency and client file ownership. Make sure files are uploaded to the correct workspace and shared only with the intended clients.

When managing a file that clients can access, consider whether access comes from a direct share or an applicable shared folder. Removing a direct share may not remove access inherited from a parent folder.

## Managing Your Files

Review your files and folders periodically to keep the workspace organized.

Remove outdated or unnecessary files when they are no longer needed, and check that important client assets are stored in the correct location before deleting or moving anything.
