# Project Messaging & Collaboration | Axumind | Clientlex

Learn how to use Axumind project messages to communicate with clients, add private internal notes, attach images, and keep a permanent project conversation history.

Keep project conversations close to the work. Every Axumind project includes a dedicated **Messages** tab where agency team members and clients can communicate directly within the project workspace.

You can send messages that clients can see or add private internal notes for discussions within your agency. You can also attach images by uploading new files or selecting existing images from your library.

All project conversations remain available in the project, giving your team a history of previous discussions and shared information.

## Accessing Project Messages

- Open **Projects** from your Axumind dashboard.

- Select the project you want to discuss.

- Open its **Messages** tab.

- Review the existing conversation or compose a new message.

Each project maintains its own message history, so conversations stay associated with the relevant project.

## Sending Client-Facing Messages

Use client-facing messages to communicate directly with the client organization.

These messages are visible to clients with access to the project and can be used for:

- Project updates and progress discussions.

- Questions about briefs, requirements, or deliverables.

- Requests for additional information.

- Clarifications and other project-related communication.

When composing a message, select the client-facing message option before posting.

The message becomes part of the project's shared conversation, where the client can view and respond.

## Adding Private Internal Notes

Not every project discussion belongs in the client conversation. Use **Internal Private Notes** when your team needs to discuss something without making it visible to the client.

Internal notes are restricted to agency staff and are not visible to the client organization.

They are useful for:

- Discussing project strategy and next steps.

- Coordinating team or contractor assignments.

- Reviewing work internally before sharing it with the client.

- Recording internal feedback and observations.

When composing a note, select the internal or private option rather than a client-facing message.

**Important:** Check the message visibility before posting. Use client-facing messages for information intended for the client and internal notes for agency-only discussions.

## Attaching Images to Messages

You can include images in project conversations to provide visual context, share work, or discuss specific assets.

When composing a message or internal note, use the attachment option to add an image.

Axumind provides two ways to select images:

- **Upload a new image:** Choose an image from your device.

- **Choose from library:** Select an image that is already available in your file library.

Once attached, the image becomes part of the project conversation.

## Reviewing Previous Conversations

Messages and internal notes remain in the project's conversation history.

Return to the **Messages** tab whenever you need to review previous discussions, revisit shared images, or catch up on project communication.

Keeping conversations within the relevant project makes it easier for your team and clients to refer back to earlier decisions and updates without searching through unrelated communication channels.

## Choosing the Right Message Type

Use client-facing messages when you need to communicate with the client or share an update.

Use internal private notes when the discussion is intended only for your agency team.

Keeping these two communication types separate helps your team coordinate internally while maintaining a clear client-facing conversation.
