# How to Create Manual Invoices in Axumind | Clientlex

Learn how to create manual invoices in Axumind, select a client organization, add line items, set payment due dates, and include custom payment terms.

Not every client engagement fits a predefined service package. For custom projects, consulting engagements, retainers, and other bespoke work, you can create manual invoices directly from your Axumind dashboard.

Manual invoices let you specify the client, add billable items, set a payment due date, and include additional notes or payment terms.

## Creating a Manual Invoice

- Navigate to **Invoices → Create Invoice**.

- Select the **Client Organization** you want to invoice.

- Set the **Payment Due Date**.

- Under **Line Items**, select **Add Item** to add the charges you want to include.

- Review the **Total Amount** displayed on the invoice.

- Add any relevant information under **Notes / Payment Terms (Optional)**.

- Review the invoice details and issue the invoice using the available invoice action.

## Understanding the Invoice Fields

The manual invoice form contains the following fields:

**Client Organization**

Select the client organization that will receive the invoice.

**Payment Due Date**

Specify when payment for the invoice is due.

**Line Items**

Add the individual charges included in the invoice. Use separate items when you need to bill for different services, project work, or other charges.

**Total Amount**

Axumind displays the invoice total based on the items added.

**Notes / Payment Terms**

Add any additional information the client should know about the invoice. You can include payment instructions, agreed terms, or other relevant notes.

## When to Use Manual Invoices

Manual invoicing is useful when the work does not follow a standard storefront purchase.

Common examples include:

- **Custom engagements:** Bill for bespoke consulting or services with a scope agreed directly with the client.

- **Project fees:** Invoice clients for custom project work.

- **Retainers:** Issue invoices for agreed ongoing services.

- **Additional work:** Bill for work or charges outside an existing service package.

Manual invoices give your agency flexibility when preparing client billing for work with custom scopes and pricing.
